Ziplining In Maui

What a tremendous experience, one of the most fun things I have ever done. At first you are scared to make the first step off of the platform and zoom through the air on a harness on a cable over 100 feet off the ground. But once you do and the feeling of flying comes into play, all is good. We’re talking about ziplining in Maui! Now come on, who does not want to fly?! As the course continues the zip lines get longer and a bit more intimidating the scary thoughts come back. Sure, you can be brave and say no big deal, but inside you are worried. But you have to go on……… You do not want everyone else to know how you feel and I can tell you from doing zip lines several times, everyone is a bit frightened. But the excitement takes over and the free feeling of flying is such a rush that by the end of the run I wanted to do the longest, fastest, highest zip over and over again.

There are quite a few zip line companies here on Maui and you can choose the one right for you and your family. Choosing the best location and price and also how much time you have for the fun adventure activity. On the west side of Maui is Kapalua where the zips have an incredible view of the ocean.

1) The four line zip features some of the fastest and longest lines on the mountain. This is a great tour for the time conscious guest that has more than one activity planned in a day.

2) The three line sunset zip is one of the best ways to watch the magical sunsets of Maui. Glide towards the Pacific Ocean and let the guides photograph those unforgettable memories of you and your friends.

3) The Seven line tandem zip will awaken your adrenaline and curiosity as you fly over the West Maui Mountains via seven ziplines covering two miles of parallel cable lines! From the mountain outpost, you’ll continue your ascent inside a Polaris Ranger “climbing” to the upper reaches of the adventure course. Experience the natural splendor of Maui from the exotic native forests to looking down at a 50-foot seasonal waterfall as you walk the longest suspension bridge in Hawaii! This tour includes lunch and water with breathtaking panoramic views of three islands.

Another fun zip is the one located on Haleakala Crater. It is a nice drive up the side of the volcano into ranch and pasture lands where you will see lots of cattle and horses crazing on the open fields.
Imagine yourself soaring over gulches and through the trees along the slopes of one of the world’s largest volcanoes. This is an adventure that blends half a mile of hiking with five picturesque zipline crossings. Our specially trained staff will outfit you with a customized seat harness and equipment before leading you into the woods in beautiful upcountry Maui. Your heart will get pumping as you sail across each zipline and get a bird’s-eye-view of the seasonal waterfalls and vegetation below. There is also a dramatic swinging bridge along with the 5 ziplines. The ziplines are 120 feet long and 25 feet high, 150 feet long 55 feet high, 210 feet long 75 feet high, 330 feet long and 40 feet high, and 750 feet long and 110 feet high. Please reserve your tour early, as there is limited availability.

There is always an opportunity for an adventure wedding with a zipline activity as well. This adventurous couple zipped in their wedding outfits after the garden ceremony, much to the surprise of their family and friends attending the wedding.
